Daspletosaurus

Das-pleet-o-SORE-us – “frightful lizard” 

Daspletosaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous between 77 and 74 million years ago. This carnivorous dinosaur was smaller than its close relative, Tyrannosaurus. Daspletosaurus skulls show evidence of healed bite marks from other Daspletosaurs suggesting that it engaged in aggressive behavior with other members of its species.
